To qualify for the Puxico R-8 gifted program, a student must meet 3 of the 4 criteria listed below:

*Score in the 95 percentile or higer on a standardized achievement test, such as the Terra Nova or Peabody.

*Score a 125 or higher on an individualized IQ test, such as the WISC IV or WPPSI.

*Score in the 75 percentile or higher on the Torrence Test of Creativite Thinking-Figural.

*Score a 78 or higher on the "Student Rating Scale" on the school Parent/Teacher Nomination Form.

If a student transfers in from another school, and shows proof of gifted program participation, they may be able to participate in our program without further testing.
