By Mid quarter: 3 photo assignments outside of school, 3rd and 4th deadline layouts due, photos tagged in folder, portaits spread designed ready for pics, ad pages started, stories and captions written for pages and photos taken. By end of quarter: All layouts completed, checked by editor, edited and be submitted to plant (only by teacher). If any page not finished and submitted by end of quarter will result in a failure for the quarter. It is very important that all pages be done before we get out for summer vacation. Looking Ahead Journalism staff will still need to sell ads to help cover the costs of the yearbook. Summer, Opening, ads, and fall spreads will be due by end of semester for a final grade. Spreads must be submitted to editors at least 1 to 2 weeks ahead of time. Make corrections according to editors request and resubmit until editor oks it before I check it over for a final grade. Each member is required to have at minimum 4 photo assignments per quarter which needs to be at school activities outside of school hours for a photo grade of "C". Students may need to stay after school to work on yearbook pages when deadlines are near.
Students will have multiple pages to be completed throughout the of the school year. Students have been assigned numerous pages to be working on. I have reports that show me their activities online on each assigned spread. There should be at least minimum (four times) a week activity on each assigned spread. I have access to records from the web to see when students are working on their pages.
