Welcome to the information/homework page for Mrs. Cathy Haynes During the 2012-2013 school year, students in this room will not receive homework on a daily basis. Much of the work will be completed in the class setting. However, when necessary, some work may be required to be completed at home. **You will find specific information below. **Weekly Spelling Projects will be assigned to students in some English classes beginning in January 2013. These projects will be partially completed in class, but may require work at home. Spelling tests will be given at the end of each project. The tests will take place each Friday. (unless otherwise scheduled) PLEASE REVIEW SPELLING WORDS OFTEN THROUGHOUT THE WEEK WITH YOUR STUDENT. THANK YOU!
Communication Arts Puxico Junior High School Puxico Senior High School The Resource English classes will key on improving reading comprehension and writing skills. Students will complete several projects throughout the year which will be designed to help reflect their interests and personalities. A number of different teaching strategies will be used to encourage student engagement during class time. Academic Enrichment Puxico Junior High School Puxico Senior High School
The goal for this class is that students be actively engaged in learning. To that end, we will strive to use a number of teaching strategies in order to better insure success for each student. Organizational skills will be a major focus in this class. Each student in the Academic Enrichment class (AE) will write daily lesson assignments and information in the school provided handbooks. Weekly grades will reflect the scoring guide provided to each student at the beginning of the school year.
