Dear Puxico Families, Due to unsafe road conditions, Puxico R-8 School will be closed on Tuesday, February 3.

We held out hope that additional melting would occur overnight and throughout the day; however, conditions have not improved to a level that would allow for safe bus travel. Student and staff safety must remain our top priority. At this time, we anticipate being in school on Wednesday, February 4. If road conditions improve but are still inconsistent in some areas, we may need to operate modified bus routes.

If you have concerns about a bus safely reaching your student's bus stop on Wednesday, please contact your child's building office on Tuesday (tomorrow) between 9:00-11:00 a.m. so we can make appropriate arrangements:

• Puxico Elementary: 573-222-3542

• Puxico Jr. High: 573-222-3058

• Puxico High School: 573-222-3175

On Wednesday, if a bus cannot get to your location, but you can safely travel, we will arrange for a bus stop meeting place or gladly meet you at the car rider drop off on campus. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor conditions and plan for a safe return to school.
