With warmer weather and longer days, we are seeing more families and students enjoying our playgrounds and outdoor spaces after school hours. We are glad our community values these areas and want them to remain safe and accessible for everyone.
However, we have recently experienced concerns that must be addressed, including damage to building windows from rocks, trash being left behind, animal waste on the grounds, and students climbing on roofs and awnings—resulting in both damage and safety risks.
To help protect our facilities and ensure everyone’s safety, please follow these expectations:
• Students under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult
• Bicycles and scooters should not be used on sidewalks or in parking lots near vehicles
• Pets are not permitted on school property due to sanitation concerns
• Students should remain in designated outdoor areas and not attempt to access buildings or gather near entrances
While this list is not all-inclusive, the expectation is simple: if you enjoy these facilities, please help take care of them and leave them better than you found them. The District remains a drug/alcohol free campus even after hours. Weapons shouldn’t be brought on campus at any time. Make sure that all vehicles remain on the street and in designated parking areas.
Please note that the district does not provide supervision outside of school hours, and individuals are responsible for any damages that occur during after hour use.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all.
