Tonight the Lady Indians JH volleyball team travels to Bloomfield for their first away game of the season. 7th grade starts at 6:00 with a full game followed by 8th grade. SCAA passes plus 320 general admission seats are available. Masks are recommended but not required.
The Lady Indians' JH volleyball team continues early season play tonight with a home game against Bell City. The 7th grade will play one set at 6:00 followed by a full game of 8th grade.

Parent meeting for all junior high and high school spring sports will be held on Tuesday, March 9th at 5:20 in the FEMA. Please arrange for at least one parent or guardian to attend with each player. Important information about the season and MSHSAA regulations will be shared.

Puxico FCCLA Daddy/Daughter Dance will be Saturday March 6. Ticket sales have been extended till Monday March 1. Tickets are $15 a couple this year with an additional $5 per daughter. Only desserts will be served.

Tomorrow evening the Lady Indians' basketball team will host the first round district game with Valle Catholic at 6:30 in the Arnold Ryan Gym. District tickets are required for entry. Since this is the MSHSAA district tournament admission is $5 for 6 years of age and older. The game will not be livestreamed on the schools YouTube channel per MSHSAA regulations.
With the addition of Saturday's boys' game we are going to have our Pink Out night. Wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. The cheerleaders will be performing their half time dance routine during the boys JV game.
What a week it has been! Lots of changes and rescheduling. Here is what we have coming up in athletics.
The boys will take on Bunker at home Saturday at 2:00. With slick side roads we are not going to make this homecoming night. We are tentatively scheduling homecoming on Friday, February 26th. This will include scrimmage games between our boys. We will have cheerleaders and homecoming court followed by our homecoming dance.
The boys district tournament has been pushed to Tuesday, February 23rd at 6:30 against St. Vincent in Perryville. Tickets will be released to the boys soon. You must have a ticket to enter this game and masks are required during the entire game.
The girls will play their first district game on Monday, February 22nd, at home 6:30 game time with Valle Catholic. Tickets are required for this game as well.

The boys basketball game with Woodland tonight has been cancelled. It has been tentatively reschedule for Thursday depending on weather and road conditions.
No high school or junior high practices today. Stay warm and stay safe.
Puxico R-8 School will not be in session
on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. It is very likely that we will be out of school now through Thursday, February 18, 2021, if not the rest of the week.
Please make plans to get somewhere warm & safe.
If you need help with supplies, please let us know and we will do our best to help.
Puxico R-8 will not be in session on Friday, February 12, 2021 due to road conditions. Puxico School is also scheduled to be closed on Monday, February 15 in observance or Presidents’ Day.
We are currently working on details to reschedule our Basketball Homecoming and Elementary Valentine’s Day Celebrations. We will provide updates ASAP.
