Job Opening-MAINTENANCE:
Puxico R-8 school is now seeking applicants for a full time maintenance position. Qualified candidates should be self motivated, able to pay attention to detail, take pride in work, have good attendance, punctual, and able to work as a team. Full time employees will be eligible for insurance, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits. This position is a 12-month position. Just a heads up. The Cross Country schedule for Jr. High and High School will come out by the end of this week.
First day of fall sports is Monday, August 10th. To participate athletes must have a current completed physical.
High school volleyball and baseball parent meeting will also be Monday, August 10th at 5:30 in the FEMA.
Cross country and junior high girls basketball parent meeting will be Tuesday, Aug 18th at 5:30 in the FEMA.
This a reminder to parents regarding immunizations of incoming kindergarten, 8th grade, and 12th grade students. Kindergarten students must be up to date on all immunizations. 8th grade students should receive a tdap and meningococcal vaccination before the first day of school. 12th graders should receive a meningococcal vaccination before the first day of school.
Please email updated immunization records to Nurse Kendall at ktilley@puxico.k12.mo.us, bring a copy to school during registration, or have them faxed to the district at 573-222-3137.

The National Beta Convention took place virtually this summer. Gracey Wilkerson placed 4th in Division 2 Woodworking and Kylie Miller placed 9th in Division 2 Mixed Media. Congratulations ladies, we are proud of your hard work!!!
