GRANDPARENT’S DAY 2024
The tradition continues, and what a blessing it was.
It is awesome scrolling through Facebook and seeing all the posts shared by everyone. We are thankful to be able to continue on with this tradition.
We want to say thank you to our wonderful cafeteria staff (they have their own post), the maintenance and tech folks, the school teachers and staff, and all of our wonderful high school volunteers that make this day possible. A special thank you to Puxico PTO for the photo stations and raffle drawing today.
From Puxico R-8 School, we wish you a restful break and a Happy Thanksgiving! We will see all of our students and staff back on campus on Monday, December 2.

We have so much to celebrate in Art! Turkeys galore!

Puxico Elementary has BLOWN us away!!!
The amount of generosity and selflessness these children and their families have shown!
We raised over 1,300 canned goods and non-perishable items! 🧡
We will be able to FILL the blessing box at least two more times!!!!!!
Thank you everyone for participating in Elementary Beta’s grateful project!

Career Day was a success! It was so fun learning about all the different jobs we can do when we grow up! Thank you to all the professionals that came and spoke with our kids🖤🧡🖤🧡

A Day of Gratitude and Growth at Puxico R-8! 🍁Our Puxico R-8 staff had an awesome day of professional learning filled with inspiration, teamwork, and fun! The day began with our Board of Education, who prepared and served a delicious breakfast to kick off the morning. We’re so thankful for their support and dedication to our district!
To add some extra joy to the day, our staff embraced the holiday spirit by dressing up to reflect how they plan to spend their Thanksgiving break. From cozy sweaters to creative costumes, the energy and excitement were contagious!
This day was a perfect reminder of the strong community we have at Puxico R-8 — working hard, learning together, and always finding ways to make it fun.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable. We’re grateful for our amazing team and the opportunity to grow together!

This week we are celebrating American Education week! We kicked the week off with an assembly with some special mask reader guests. We also honored our American Education Week Writing Winners!

In honor of American Education Week we had some very special guest readers! We welcomed some of our beloved retired teachers back with a special breakfast and then all our students were blessed by having them read a story to them.🖤🧡🖤🧡

As a school, today we were humbled. It was a true honor to spend time preparing and honoring the Veterans in our community. Let us never forget to thank our service men and women that serve and provide the freedoms that we enjoy in the United States of America.
We celebrated our Veterans with a Veterans Luncheon, readings, heartfelt writings, Quilts of Valor, coloring contests, card making, patriotic music, reflection, and gifted speakers. We want to say thank you to each veteran that chose to spend time with us today.
We couldn’t do it without support. We extend a special thank you to the following: Puxico Tech team, Mr. Garrett Payne and FFA for the groundskeeping; Mrs. Kacy Fernetti and our FCCLA organization for the Veterans Luncheon; Karen Haynes, Hannah Baldwin and our H. S. Student Council; our parking lot attendees; Jr. High Student Council; Mr. Ted Luecke and the Puxico Band; the VFW and Puxico Auxiliary; Quits of Valor; Mr. Kyle Cox; Mr. James Graham; Mr. Bruce Campbell; Mr. Will Davis; our maintenance crew; and the students and staff that helped set up and took down for todays events.

#TeacherTuesday
We are soo appreciative of Mrs. Jones! She is always helping when needed in our district and has a heart to teach! We love having her as a Puxico Indian.

Mrs. Smothers’ 7th and 8th Grade Current Events class took a walk to the FEMA lobby to witness the voting process.
